Job Summary

Own the supporter communications engine by planning and delivering email campaigns, building automated journeys, and optimizing content across the website and SEO to improve engagement and donor retention.

  • Own email program and journeys: plan, test, deploy, and automate campaigns in Dot Digital while maintaining GDPR and consent standards.
  • Audience and content governance: segment audiences, write copy, publish website content, and optimize UX along supporter journeys.
  • Measurement and continuous improvement: monitor performance, report on key metrics, and drive experiments to lift engagement and conversions.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Plan, build, test and deploy email campaigns using the charity’s email marketing platform (currently Dot Digital).
  • Develop and manage automated supporter journeys and nurture campaigns.
  • Segment audiences to deliver relevant and personalised communications.
  • Monitor campaign performance and produce reports on key metrics, including open rates, click-through rates, conversions and engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR, PECR, DUAA, consent preferences and best practice.
  • Support continuous improvement of supporter communications through testing and optimisation.
  • Create, edit and publish content for the charity website.
  • Maintain website content to ensure accuracy, relevance and consistency.
  • Work with colleagues to improve user experience and supporter journeys.
  • Support search engine optimisation (SEO) through effective copywriting and content management.

Requirements

  • 3 years’ experience in a marketing or communications role.
  • Experience of delivering email marketing campaigns using an email marketing platform.
  • Knowledge of SEO principles and digital marketing best practice.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and CRM.

Preferred

  • Experience using Dot Digital or similar email marketing platforms.
  • Experience using CRM systems.
  • Experience working within the charity or not-for-profit sector.
  • Is passionate about the work of Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.
  • Enjoys working collaboratively and building positive relationships.
  • Is proactive, and willing to learn.
  • Takes ownership of their work and seeks continuous improvement.
  • Is audience-focused and committed to delivering excellent supporter experiences.
