Job Summary

Own the end-to-end design and motion content pipeline for DSIT’s digital channels, turning complex science and technology stories into clear, engaging visuals that support government priorities.

  • Creative Content Production: craft social-ready graphics, animations, and layouts for campaigns and public audiences.
  • Visual Identity & Brand Stewardship: shape and maintain DSIT’s visual language across platforms and campaigns.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: partner with subject-matter experts and teams to deliver high-quality, on-time creative content.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Creating eye-catching digital content for social media and campaigns
  • Designing graphics and motion content that bring science and technology stories to life
  • Helping shape and maintain DSIT’s visual identity and branding
  • Working with stakeholders to deliver high-quality creative content
  • Supporting cross-government campaigns with strong digital design
  • Producing clear, engaging visuals for both specialist and public audiences
  • Managing multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Contributing to design best practice across the digital communications team

Requirements

  • Strong experience in graphic design, with some motion graphics or animation skills
  • A portfolio showing digital-first creative work across different platforms
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects and Premiere Pro)
  • A strong eye for layout, typography and design consistency
  • Ability to turn complex ideas into clear, visually engaging content
  • Good project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • A creative mindset and enthusiasm for innovation, storytelling and design
