Job Summary

Own community outreach and member growth by building partnerships, delivering financial education, and representing the credit union at events to drive awareness and engagement.

  • Community Outreach: Organise events, workshops, and campaigns to attract members.
  • Partnerships & Representation: Build relationships with local organizations and represent the credit union at events.
  • Education & Engagement: Deliver budgeting and saving sessions and respond to member inquiries to drive awareness and trust.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Promote credit union products and services to individuals, schools, businesses, and community groups
  • Recruit new members and support membership growth targets
  • Organise community outreach events, workshops, and promotional campaigns
  • Deliver financial education sessions on budgeting, saving, loans, and responsible borrowing
  • Build strong relationships with local organisations, employers, and community leaders
  • Represent the credit union at local events, fairs, and meetings
  • Respond to enquiries from potential and existing members
  • Support marketing and social media activities to increase awareness
  • Maintain accurate records of outreach activities and member engagement
  • Work with internal teams to identify opportunities for community partnerships and growth

Requirements

  • GCSEs or equivalent qualifications
  • Full UK drivers licence
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to engage confidently with diverse communities
  • Good organisational and time-management abilities
  • Basic IT and social media skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred

  • Experience in community outreach, financial services, sales, or customer engagement
  • Knowledge of credit unions and financial inclusion services
  • Experience delivering presentations or workshops
  • Further education in business, finance, community development, or marketing is beneficial
