Job Summary

Own and manage The O2 media relations, leading press inquiries, developing compelling stories and campaigns, and building strong relationships with journalists, influencers and agencies across consumer, business, trade and regional outlets.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Be the main media contact for The O2 and its associated businesses, managing press enquiries and media activity.
  • Build strong relationships with journalists, broadcasters, influencers and external agencies.
  • Secure media coverage across consumer, business, trade and regional media, while monitoring and reporting on results
  • Deliver PR campaigns that promote The O2, Outlet Shopping at The O2, Up at The O2 and the wider entertainment district.
  • Identify and develop stories that showcase The O2's impact, events, partnerships and achievements.
  • Create press releases, statements, media materials and content that generate interest and coverage
  • Support wider communications activity across AEG International, including business updates and major announcement's.
  • Work with teams across the business to identify media opportunities and share newsworthy stories.
  • Help grow The O2's LinkedIn presence through engaging and relevant content

Requirements

  • Experience in PR, communications or media relations.
  • Good knowledge of the UK media landscape.
  • A track record of securing media coverage and building strong relationships.
  • Experience writing press releases and other communications materials.
  • Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage several projects at once.
  • Able to work well with people at all levels.
  • A creative, practical and proactive approach
