Job Summary

Own and deliver IFST's social media, publications, and events communications, driving content creation, editorial outputs, and multimedia coverage across channels.

  • Lead engaging social media content and visuals across platforms.
  • Coordinate newsletters, editorial pieces, and targeted emails.
  • Produce multimedia content from events and campaigns for broader reach.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Social media: creating engaging copy and visuals across IFST's social media channels, producing graphics (including still images, carousels and reels) using Canva, InDesign and Adobe Creative Cloud, planning and scheduling content via Buffer, and managing campaigns around key themes and IFST priorities.
  • Publications and digital communications: writing for the FS&T Magazine (including IFST News, commissioning and editorial), designing and issuing monthly member newsletters and targeted email campaigns, creating Factsheets and Technical Briefs, updating the IFST website, and providing quarterly Board reports using Google Analytics data.
  • Events and wider team support: attending IFST events to produce high-quality multimedia content and providing communications-related administrative support to the Head of Knowledge, Learning and Communications.

Requirements

  • Experience creating content for social media platforms and in digital content creation is essential, as is a BSc or equivalent qualification/ experience.
