Job Summary

Own and shape CLI’s communications strategy and brand voice while driving multi-channel content, media relations, and data-led improvements.

  • Strategic ownership: define and deliver integrated communications and marketing plans across social, website, email, and digital platforms.
  • Channel and content production: produce graphics, photography and short-form video while maintaining a consistent tone and identity.
  • Measurement and growth: use insights to optimize campaigns, support events and recruitment, and explore AI tools to boost impact.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Developing and delivering our communications and marketing strategy.
  • Creating engaging content across social media, website, email and digital platforms.
  • Producing graphics, photography and short-form video content.
  • Building relationships with local media, partners and stakeholders.
  • Planning campaigns that increase awareness, engagement and support.
  • Managing and developing the CLI website.
  • Protecting and strengthening our brand identity and tone of voice.
  • Using data and insight to continually improve communications.
  • Supporting events, recruitment campaigns and organisational growth.
  • Exploring new technologies and AI tools to improve how we communicate.

Requirements

  • You may have experience in communications, marketing, PR, digital media or brand management, and you'll be comfortable working independently while collaborating with colleagues across the organisation.

Preferred

  • Experience within the charity, community or social impact sector is welcomed but not essential.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience delivering successful communications or marketing campaigns.
  • Nice-to-have: Strong digital content creation skills, including Canva and social media.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience creating or editing video content.
  • Nice-to-have: Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Nice-to-have: Creativity, initiative and a solutions-focused mindset.
  • Nice-to-have: The ability to turn ideas into engaging campaigns with measurable impact.
  • Nice-to-have: A passion for using communications to make a positive difference.
