  • Build and manage journalist relationships to secure high‑quality coverage
  • Oversee content across website, newsletters and social media to support objectives

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • You’ll set the strategic direction of our comms work, ensuring that it drives our strategic objectives, and lead the press office function.
  • You’ll find the story potential in our legal and research work, and secure extensive media coverage through maintaining strong relationships with journalists from across the political spectrum.
  • You will create and publish high-quality and up to date content across our website, newsletter and social media channels.
  • This is a real opportunity to lead on all aspects of the communications function in an impactful organisation, and contribute to systemic change.

Requirements

  • minimum 3-5 years experience in a dedicated communications or press role
  • A track-record of securing high-quality, agenda-setting media coverage.
  • Good contacts across editorial boards.
  • A track-record of successful delivery against comms objectives on social media.
  • Experience developing, executing, and evaluating data-driven communication strategies.
  • Strong understanding of the UK political and media landscape, with a sharp eye for reactive opportunities.
  • Good knowledge of website and social media content management systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
