Job Summary

Own cross region internal and external comms for corporate and markets, driving events, messaging and storytelling while proving impact across BMCC and Europe strategy.

  • Leadership and events: plan leadership events, roundtables and town halls, plus key initiatives.
  • Messaging and storytelling: craft internal content that promotes brand and alignment across platforms.
  • Measurement and governance: measure effectiveness and adjust tactics for BMCC and Global Markets programs.

Job Description

Own cross-region communications and events for corporate and markets, delivering leadership events and high impact messaging while measuring impact.

  • Plan and deliver leadership events, roundtables and town hall content, major projects and initiatives, as well as communication activities across the team.
  • Deliver compelling, impactful messaging for internal consumption that promotes RBC's brand internally with the broader platform.
  • Contribute to the success and overall goals of RBC Corporate Communications.
  • Measure and report on the effectiveness of activities, identifying tactics in response.
  • Contribute to the success of the overall goals of the Brand, Marketing, Communications and Citizenship (BMCC) group. Proactively build connection with BMCC peers in other regions and businesses to leverage best practices.
  • Provide strategic and tactical communications support for Global Markets (notably Equity Research) in the region: Implement internal promotion and recognition of key business successes and milestones.
  • Execute successful media plans to support specific sector / product / research coverage outreach with key media targets. Act as a media contact and manage media relationships.
  • Drive regular metrics and reporting to measure, analyse and report on effectiveness of communications initiatives.
  • Standing member of global internal communications editorial team, identifying deeper story angles to amplify our storytelling agenda.
  • Support internal activities relating to communicating our Europe strategy e.g. employee webinars, townhalls and other activities throughout the year.

Requirements

  • Excellent written English and outstanding attention to detail.
  • Proactive and tactical practitioner with knowledge of communication principles and best practices.
  • Strong internal communications, social media, design and media relations experience.
  • Experience in measuring & reporting on effectiveness of communication strategies.
  • Experience of internal events management an advantage.
  • High level of personal integrity/ability to instill trust.
  • Ability to meet consistently high standards of quality while handling a variety of projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong commitment to excellence and ability to calm and rational thinking while working under pressure.
