Job Summary

Own the European and global automotive communications agenda, guiding storytelling, media relations, and executive exposure across fast moving partnerships and evolving products.

  • Responsibilities: own messaging, executive engagements, and cross-team collaboration to shape strategic PR programs.
  • Audience & Channels: manage media across technology and auto beats plus speaking events and owned channels in Europe.
  • Impact & Metrics: steer crisis management, trend monitoring, and internationally tailored content that moves executive decisions.

Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Spearhead owned and earned communications strategies and messaging for automotive and other emerging products across media engagements, speaking engagements, and owned channels/events.
  • Manage executive speaking and media engagements related to strategic partnerships and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Amazon’s communications and business organizations.
  • Provide strategic PR counsel and support to business leaders across automotive and emerging product initiatives.
  • Keep current on industry trends, issues, and news in the automotive and technology sectors.
  • Build and maintain relevant media relationships in technology and automotive industries.
  • Successfully manage complex, fast-moving and unexpected communications challenges, particularly in dynamic and evolving business environments.
  • Develop and execute communications programs across Europe, adapting strategies and content for local audiences and media landscapes.
Requirements
  • Experience in professional communications or public relations
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, or a related field
Preferred
  • Experience writing for a range of audiences and formats, including press releases, blog posts, statements, social media, and briefing packets.
  • Experience working internationally, including with media across multiple regions.
  • Strong understanding of the European automotive landscape and key industry stakeholders.
  • German language proficiency at CEFR C1 level or above. Proficiency in one or more additional European languages.
