Job Description

Responsibilities

Lead the development of complex, high-value proposals, presentations, and qualifications (PPQs) from opportunity identification through final submission.
Facilitate opportunity review and kickoff meetings, defining pursuit strategies, win themes, and differentiators.
Partner with operations and business development leadership to position SSOE competitively and align messaging with client priorities.
Drive proposal schedules, assign responsibilities, and ensure accountability across multidisciplinary teams.
Provide guidance and mentorship to marketing coordinators and support staff as needed.
Manage multiple concurrent pursuits across regions, ensuring on-time, high-quality deliverables.
Synthesize complex technical information into clear, compelling, and client-focused content.
Lead the development of strategic messaging and proposal narratives that differentiate SSOE.
Oversee the coordination, review, and production of final deliverables to ensure consistency and brand alignment.
Coach and support presentation teams for client interviews and selection processes.

Requirements

Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to translate complex ideas into compelling content.
Demonstrated ability to lead pursuit teams and develop strategic messaging and positioning.
Advanced organizational and project management skills in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and stakeholders.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization, including senior leadership.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe InDesign.

Preferred

5–10 years of experience in marketing, proposals, or business development—preferably in the AEC industry.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
Experience leading large, complex pursuits or proposals.
Familiarity with Deltek Vantagepoint or similar CRM systems.
Experience mentoring or guiding junior team members.
