Job Description

Responsibilities

Execute assigned gameplay capture sequences from shot planning through organized handoff, working within an established creative approach.
Translate creative briefs into shot lists and capture plans, and recommend visual approaches for review.
Direct focused scenes and campaign capture sequences with limited oversight, making informed in-engine decisions about blocking, composition, camera movement, pacing, and timing.
Partner with a Capture Lead or Manager on larger, long-form, narrative, or highly stylized capture, contributing to planning, scene development, and execution.
Capture high-quality gameplay footage and screenshots for trailers, cinematics, gameplay features, campaign assets, social media, and other marketing needs.
Use proprietary development tools, game engines, debug systems, and in-game controls to build and execute specific creative moments and shot requirements.
Fill in as a game capture technician as needed, including acting in scenes, running scenarios, and coordinating gameplay according to the capture plan or director’s guidance.
Participate in brainstorming and pre-production sessions, helping conceptualize multiplayer scenarios and gameplay moments that translate well on screen.
Collaborate with editors, producers, creative stakeholders, and other capture team members to ensure assets are organized, usable, and aligned with delivery needs.
Assemble daily sequences or selects in Adobe Premiere Pro for review and editorial handoff.

Requirements

2+ years of professional experience in game capture, real-time cinematics, video production, photography, or a related creative field; equivalent experience demonstrating strong game capture capability will also be considered.
Demonstrated ability to independently plan and execute smaller capture assignments or scenes with limited direction and oversight.
Experience working in a fast-paced creative, agency, entertainment, or game production environment with shifting priorities and deadlines.
Experience creating gameplay-driven marketing, promotional, social, or cinematic content; experience leading defined capture assignments is a plus.

Preferred

Experience with Call of Duty game capture.
Experience capturing first-person shooter gameplay.
Real-world background in cinematography or photography.
Knowledge of color theory and image finishing fundamentals.
Familiarity with 3D software such as Blender or Maya.
Experience with screenshot capture workflows and still-image composition.
Familiarity with Photoshop, Unreal, and Unity.
Understanding of game development pipelines and how in-progress builds are used in creative production.
Passion for games and interactive entertainment.
