Responsibilities

Coordinate campaign details, prepare and distribute promotional materials, update schedules, communicate with internal teams and community partners, and complete follow-up tasks for marketing campaigns and community events designed to recruit and retain blood donors.
Draft, edit, schedule, and publish content for social media, websites, newsletters, and other communication channels in accordance with approved messaging, brand standards, and campaign timelines.
Monitor social media and industry trends to develop engaging videos and graphics that educate and inform blood donors.
Interview donors, recipients, family members, and internal staff as appropriate; gather necessary information and approvals; and write compelling stories that illustrate the lifesaving impact of blood donation.
Assist with planning and executing signature blood drives and in-center events by coordinating invitations, vendors, speakers, materials, room setup, attendee communications, on-site activities, and post-event follow-up for chamber mixers, partner and volunteer luncheons, staff engagement events, and similar programs.
Monitor website LiveChat during assigned times, provide timely and accurate responses to routine donor questions, document recurring issues, and route complex or sensitive inquiries to the appropriate department.
Track social media performance, compile relevant marketing and engagement metrics, identify industry trends, and prepare recurring reports for departmental review.
Review testimonial cards submitted at donor centers, follow up with internal teams to identify promising leads, obtain required information and permissions, and develop qualified lifesaving and donor stories for approved communications.
Serve as backup for HemaConnect campaign creation and reporting by entering and updating campaign information, generating standard reports, verifying accuracy, and escalating system or data issues as needed.
Edit and maintain assigned company web pages in WordPress, including updating copy, images, links, event details, and other approved content; review changes for accuracy before publication.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
1–3 years of experience in marketing, communications, public relations, nonprofit marketing, or a related field
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
Must have a clean driving record
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and common digital marketing/social media platforms
Ability to work effectively with internal teams, community partners, vendors, and the public
Education/Licenses/Experience
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience

Preferred

Experience with nonprofit, healthcare, community outreach, or cause-related marketing
Experience managing social media and email marketing campaigns
Familiarity with editing tools such as Canva
Experience coordinating events or community-based campaigns
Knowledge of digital analytics and marketing performance reporting
