Job Description

Responsibilities

Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy and content calendar
Ensure consistent brand voice, messaging, and visual identity across all channels
Create and oversee production of key materials (annual reports, digital and print collateral, campaigns, events)
Manage and optimize digital platforms, including website (WordPress), email marketing, social media, SEO/SEM, and online reputation
Analyze campaign performance and CRM data to inform strategy and improve engagement and conversion
Collaborate cross-functionally to support fundraising, storytelling, and organizational communications
Gather and organize content for donor engagement and community storytelling initiatives
Manage external vendors (designers, developers, marketing partners)
Support internal teams with messaging, tools, and communication resources
Facilitate regular communication with U.S. and Kenya-based staff

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
3+ years of experience in a marketing or communications role
Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills
Experience with WordPress, email marketing platforms, social media management, and CRM systems
Proficiency in digital marketing tools, analytics, and performance tracking
Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to execute and think strategically
Experience working with cross-functional teams and external partners
Proficiency with Google Workspace and virtual collaboration tools (e.g., Zoom)
Understanding of design principles and creative direction
