Job Description

Responsibilities

Sourcing and creation of organic social media content, including photo, video, and text for posts - minimum of one post per week
Work with social media manager to schedule postings
Video editing of raw footage for social media
Photo editing for social media
Networking with CIT faculty, staff, other students, and student clubs and organizations to collect information for content creation
Social media takeovers
Attending meetings biweekly to discuss social media strategy

Requirements

Must be a current UM-Flint student, graduate or undergraduate
Must be comfortable being filmed and included in social media content, specifically videos
Must be and stay up to date on social media best practices and trends.
Must be responsive to emails and reply promptly, and have good communication skills
Must have a willingness to attend CIT functions, events, etc.

Preferred

Collaborative and willing to take direction, be open to feedback
Ability to meet deadlines
Ability to follow marketing and branding requirements
Video and photo editing skills
Experience with Canva and Capcut preferred
