Job Description

Responsibilities

Turn team travel — mill visits, artisan meetings, fabric and material sourcing trips — into the brand's primary content stream, in the vein of a real-time, honest documentation of the process of building each collection
Take footage and photos shot by teammates in the field — for example, a product associate documenting a leather sourcing trip in Florence — and cut it into finished, on-brand content without having been there yourself
Build a simple, repeatable capture brief so traveling team members know what to shoot before they leave, so raw footage arrives usable rather than unusable
Find the story in the process itself — why this mill, why this material, what almost didn't work — rather than defaulting to generic travel or lifestyle framing
Make sure each trip's content feels organic and specific to what actually happened, not a generic template applied to every location
Organize and maintain the brand's growing footage and photo library so nothing shot on a trip goes unused
Approach every piece as a considered, self-contained story — not a running travel diary — with a clear point of view: why this material, this maker, this method
Keep the frame on the craft and the decision behind it, not the destination — the work itself is the subject, not the trip
When a founder or team member appears on camera, position them as a guide into the work — narrating and contextualizing — with the camera's attention on the material, the hands, and the process rather than on personality
Bring genuine editorial restraint and production polish to every piece; pacing and composition should read as considered, never casual or dashed-off

Requirements

2+ years of experience creating content for a consumer, fashion, or lifestyle brand — in-house, freelance, or agency
Strong portfolio demonstrating both original shooting (photo and video) and editing skill, with examples that show restraint and a considered point of view rather than high-volume, low-craft output
Proficiency in video and photo editing tools (e.g., Premiere Pro, CapCut, Lightroom, or equivalents)
Demonstrated eye for Instagram grid curation — composition, color story, and pacing across a feed, not just individual posts
Comfort working independently and taking creative ownership without close direction
Experience briefing and managing freelancers or outside collaborators (editors, animators, filmmakers, or similar) against a timeline and budget
Willingness to travel occasionally for shoots and sourcing trips
You have a genuine eye — you know what a great frame looks like before you shoot it, and you spot the real moment in a room full of ordinary ones
You have editorial restraint — you instinctively know the difference between a considered piece and something that reads as casual, and you default to the former
You think in images and video, not words — this is a visual role; long-form writing is handled elsewhere

Preferred

Prior experience building content for a DTC or luxury consumer brand
Experience directing or producing on photoshoots, not just capturing BTS content
Exposure to short-form film, animation, or interview-style content, and interest in expanding into these formats
A personal creative practice (photography, filmmaking, or similar) that shows a distinct visual point of view
Familiarity with fashion, craft, or luxury goods content specifically
