Responsibilities

Shape, guide, and execute communication strategies: collaborate with internal leadership team to design and implement internal and external communication plans that align with mission objectives and contribute to overall company success.
Create and manage impactful content: lead the creation and management of impactful content and initiatives (such as press releases, website, product narratives, social media content, editorials, etc.) that drive engagement and credibility both internally and externally while supporting overall strategic priorities.
Evaluate communication effectiveness: design and implement tools and processes to measure the impact of communication efforts to continuously improve outcomes.
Cultivate stakeholder partnerships: build trusted relationships with company leaders and key external partners to increase brand presence, promote product applications, attract potential investors & partnerships, and overall supporting all necessary company communication efforts.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, English, marketing, or a related field with 10+ years of experience in communications, media, marketing, or public relations; or a Master’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience.
Extensive experience managing and executing communications initiatives that align with company-wide goals and growth strategies.
Proven ability to anticipate and address emerging issues, collaborate with stakeholders, and recommend effective solutions independently.
Expertise in crafting internal and external messaging tailored to diverse audiences.
Strong background in strategic communications planning, including establishing clear objectives and measurable KPIs.
Demonstrated success in fostering productive relationships with senior leaders, including executives and external partners.
Knowledgeable in best practices and tools for measuring communication effectiveness.

Preferred

Previous experience taking new technical products to market.
Communications experience within the Department of Defense or the broader federal government.
Prior experience working for a fast-paced high growth start-up.
