The bar is stopping the scroll, holding attention past thirty seconds, and driving the click.
You'll also spend a lot of time building variations of ads that are already winning.
Different hooks, different opens, different lengths.
Iteration speed is most of the job.
If something you originate goes live and scales, you get a bonus on it.
Editors who think like strategists do well here.
Two concepts per day.
Fifty per month, minimum.
That number is only achievable with heavy AI tooling, and we've built the system around that.

Requirements

Direct response editing for Meta. Facebook and Instagram ads specifically, not branded content.
Practical fluency with AI production tools. Realistic avatars, AI UGC, AI voiceover, image and video generation. Higgsfield, Veo, Sora, Kling, ElevenLabs, HeyGen, Captions, or whatever has replaced them by the time you read this. We need someone already working this way, not someone planning to learn.
A real understanding of hooks, pacing, captions, framing, and retention curves. You should be able to explain why a caption breaking on the wrong syllable costs you the scroll.
Genuine DTC experience. Ads that ran on paid traffic at spend that mattered.
