Job Description

Responsibilities

Coordinate, create, and monitor content, including graphic design, on the OEEC’s newsletter, social media channels and website to share the OEEC’s story, mission, vision, and values.
Oversee and implement OEEC’s social media strategy
Manage OEEC’s social media accounts across all platforms to grow the OEEC presence
Monitor social media accounts, respond to inquiries, and use analytics to report on social media campaigns
Coordinate, upload, and monitor OEEC’s website content
Monitor industry social media trends to determine how to maximize them for OEEC
Support OEEC communications and external education strategies
Coordinate all internal communications - departments and internal constituents
Collaborate with OEEC staff and volunteers to develop, create, and edit materials
Coordinate the external communication of OEEC’s programs and activities

Requirements

5 years of combination of education and experience in marketing communications
3+ years of working experience in social media and/or community engagement role.
Experience with all major social media platforms, in addition to analytics and scheduling tools, Google Analytics, etc.
Proficient in Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop. Animation is a plus!
Strong writing and copy-editing skills, with a track record of writing engaging content
Competent photography skills; video production and editing experience a plus
Experience with Word Press or similar web platforms
Experience working in graphic design
Demonstrated computer literacy with Microsoft Office Suite and experience using website management software
Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and Constant Contact a plus

The mission of the OEEC is to remove barriers from the public's full appreciation of our region’s technological and environmental resources. The OEEC promotes student engagement and public participation in sustainable environmental projects.
