Job Summary

The Belmont Today Social Media Team member will support the Director of Student Engagement by managing Belmont Today social media accounts, planning and executing campaigns, creating content, and compiling analytics to grow engagement across platforms. They will contribute photos and videos, design graphics in Canva, and represent the Office of Student Engagement at events, with work taking place in-person or remotely and a focus on flexible, student-friendly contributions.

Owns coordination of Belmont Today social media content calendar and scheduling
Supports content creation and basic analytics across platforms

Job Description

Responsibilities

The Belmont Today Social Media Team member will assist the Director of Student Engagement in running the Belmont Today social media accounts.
Assist with the management of all BelmontToday social media accounts
Utilize the Social Media & Marketing Calendar and HootSuite to plan and schedule consistent social media and e-mail communication.
Assist with initiating and implementing social media campaigns, contests, and other strategic initiatives in order to increase followers and engagement across platforms
Contribute picture and video content for social media.
Create graphics using Canva to promote upcoming programs and events
Assist with compiling analytics for social media
Represent Office of Student Engagement at events and provide general administrative support (answering phones and greeting office visitors) as needed
Other duties to be discussed based on student interest and needs of Office of Student Engagement.
Work will take place in an office in the Beaman Student Life Center or remote. Part of the work will also take place capturing photos or videos at Belmont related events.

Requirements

Must be a current full-time student at Belmont.
Must have knowledge in various social media platforms.
Must have knowledge in videography, photography, and/or graphic design.
Required Education Must be enrolled as a student at Belmont University.
