Job Summary

You will own the outreach and link-building program, driving earned coverage, guest posting, and structured campaigns to close backlink gaps. You’ll manage cross-functional collaboration (Brand Content, PR, Product), maintain trackers, and leverage AI tools to speed research, drafting, and gap analysis, while monitoring health and disavow actions.

Job Description

Responsibilities

Pitch relevant blogs and industry publications to earn coverage and backlinks organically, closing our referring-domains gap versus competitors.
Own outreach and ongoing relationship management with third-party review sites for inclusion and improved placement knowing LLM citations correlate heavily with off-site authority and structured mentions.
Write and place guest posts on relevant third-party sites — owning the piece end to end, from drafting to securing the placement — and source and execute content opportunities with cross-functional teams.
Run structured backlink outreach campaigns targeting our highest-value assets — free tools, On the Line and Data by Toast articles, compare pages, and ungated resources.
Systematically close competitive link and citation gaps by targeting the backlink and citation sources competitors hold that we don't.
Monitor the health of our backlink profile — tracking toxic links, lost links, and anchor text distribution, and flagging disavow or removal actions when needed.
Maintain an organized, up-to-date outreach and link-building tracker (source, target URL, link type, status) so pipeline visibility doesn't live in any one person's inbox.
Contribute to Organic Growth's Reddit strategy and engagement — monitoring threads for citation-worthy questions and working cross-functionally to build genuine community presence rather than link-dropping.
Keep an outreach pipeline and tracker moving continuously; when a new asset launches, you're the reason its reach doesn't stop at publish.
Collaborate with partners in Brand Content & Authority, PR, and Product to source material, identify link and citation gaps, and turn outreach targets into secured placements.

Requirements

4+ years of experience in SEO or content marketing with a track record of building backlinks and earning organic coverage
Strong writing skills – comfortable drafting guest posts and pitches yourself, not just securing placements for content written by others
Experience running outbound outreach campaigns at scale
Familiarity with SEO/AEO/GEO tooling (Ahrefs or similar, Profound, Google Search Console, etc.) to identify link/citation gaps and prioritize outreach targets
Comfortable using AI and LLM-based tools in your workflow as well as understanding how AI/LLM citation ecosystems work
Strong written communication for pitches and outreach
Strong project management instincts – you can track multiple outreach workstreams and keep things moving without constant check-ins

Preferred

Experience with Reddit or community-led growth strategies
B2B SaaS or restaurant/hospitality industry marketing background
A track record of closing competitive backlink or citation gaps with measurable results
