Job Description

Events & Training Manager | London (hybrid working) | Circa £50k

* It is essential you meet the following requirements to be applicable for this role:

  1. 3-5 years experience in the media/marketing/advertising industry, and
  2. 5+ years experience in event management

If you enjoy creating programmes that genuinely make a difference to members, we’d love to hear from you.

About the Role

The Training & Events Programme Manager is responsible for developing and delivering ISBA's programme of member learning, and events. The role combines programme development, content planning, stakeholder management, speaker and trainer sourcing, and event delivery. Success will be measured not only by the smooth execution of activity, but by the value, relevance and impact delivered for members.

This is not a traditional events management role: While the postholder will be responsible for delivering a wide range of webinars, workshops, forums, executive breakfasts, training programmes and flagship events, the primary focus is creating relevant programmes that help advertisers build capability, address industry challenges and stay informed about developments across marketing, media and advertising.

This role is about more than logistics. You’ll translate our strategic priorities into a programme that delivers real value to senior marketers – from roundtables and workshops through to flagship industry events. You’ll shape content, source high-calibre speakers and partners, and ensure every touchpoint delivers a strong, professional member experience.

Working closely with ISBA's subject matter experts and external partners, the postholder will identify emerging trends, learning needs and member priorities, translating these into a compelling programme of training, learning and engagement opportunities.

What we’re looking for

  • Strong understanding of the media/marketing/advertising industry
  • Experience managing a varied events or learning programme (not just one-offs)
  • Strong stakeholder and project management skills
  • Commercial awareness of what creates value for members
  • Confidence working with senior contributors and external partners
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach

Why join ISBA

  • Work directly with some of the UK’s leading advertisers
  • Play a key role in shaping how our members learn, connect and stay ahead
  • Be part of a collaborative, member-first team
