Job Summary

Own and optimize in-flight trading activity across the site using data insights, briefs, and cross-functional collaboration to drive performance.

  • Track performance and feed learnings back into future decisions.
  • Coordinate with Creative, Onsite Merchandising and Category to launch timely activity.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a strong awareness of business and category performance, using trading insights and performance data to understand where new activity, onsite updates or optimisation is required.
  • Proactively identify opportunities and work closely with category & commercial to raise briefs for new or changing activity that can support performance, both in-flight and across the next four weeks.
  • Own and manage the areas of the site that need to be most responsive to trade, customer behaviour and market changes, including the Homepage and Offers Zone.
  • Ensure onsite activity remains relevant and commercially effective, reacting at pace where performance, stock, promotional priorities or market conditions change.
  • Own the lower-funnel marketing feed-in for promotional activity, ensuring messaging, products and onsite execution are aligned to current performance and wider business priorities.
  • Jira briefs and feed into wider teams (including Creative, Onsite Merchandising and other relevant teams) with accuracy, providing clear rationale, requirements and timings to enable activity to move at pace and launch on time.
  • Own the in-flight optimisation of live activity, using performance insights to recommend changes to messaging, prominence or customer journeys where appropriate.
  • Conduct regular competitor and market reviews, identifying relevant changes in proposition, promotional messaging, customer trends and onsite execution that could inform our response.
  • Be responsible for ensuring all key trading and activity documentation remains live and accurate, capturing changes to activity as they happen.
  • Ensure changes are clearly communicated across relevant stakeholders so teams are working from a single, accurate view of the trading plan.

Requirements

  • Experience with tools such as ContentSquare, CMI, GA4 and Excel would be beneficial.
  • Commercially curious, with a strong interest in understanding what is driving performance and what action can be taken as a result.
  • A proactive self-starter who is comfortable identifying opportunities and raising briefs rather than waiting for activity to be assigned.
  • Able to operate effectively in a fast-paced, reactive trading environment, balancing planned priorities with emerging business needs.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly when managing multiple live changes and maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Confident working cross-functionally and able to translate trading priorities into clear marketing and onsite actions.
  • Comfortable using data and insight to make recommendations and challenge existing plans.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to keep multiple stakeholders aligned as priorities evolve.
