Job Description
Responsibilities
- coordinate and deliver a varied programme of workshops, presentations, events and other activities for a range of audiences, both on campus and in schools, colleges and other external settings
- represent BU locally, regionally and nationally, providing engaging and accessible information about higher education and the opportunities available at Bournemouth University
- take responsibility for specific events and projects, working with colleagues and external partners to plan activity from initial concept through to successful delivery
- build strong relationships with schools, colleges and other stakeholders
- help ensure our programme remains responsive to the needs of our audiences and aligned with the University’s student recruitment and widening participation priorities
- regular travel and some evening and weekend working
- manage competing priorities, taking ownership of projects and adapting your approach to different audiences and situations
Requirements
- strong communication, presentation and organisational skills
- experience of delivering engaging activities for children or young people
- the confidence to build effective relationships with a wide range of people
- comfortable managing competing priorities

- commitment to safeguarding and excellent service
- enthusiasm for working with young people
Preferred
- Experience of student recruitment, outreach, widening participation, education or events would be beneficial
