Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Working with colleagues to develop and deliver strategic communications plans with measurable outcomes.
  • Writing strategic communications content for our channels, including digital and social media.
  • Editorship of the registrant and stakeholder monthly e-newsletters, identifying and writing engaging content, overseeing its distribution and producing monthly evaluation reports.
  • Supporting the Senior Communications Manager on the production of the GDC’s corporate reports.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to plan, co-ordinate and deliver engagement activities and communication products that engage our external audiences, including public and patients, government officials, education providers and professional bodies across the four nations of the UK.

Requirements

  • Experience of creating strategic communications plans and content for a range of channels including corporate reports, presentations, digital and social media.
  • Excellent organisation skills and ability to project manage concurrent deliveries on time and budget and generate ideas to improve communication activities.
  • Experience of managing, evaluating and continually improving strategic communications content, with experience of analysing data, understanding trends and articulating potential consequences.
  • Experience and knowledge of UK political processes and public affairs or working within a healthcare or public sector organisation, regulatory body or a related field, together with good knowledge of the media and healthcare landscape to proactively identify opportunities to communicate the role of the GDC.
