Job Description

Responsibilities

Develop, create, and manage social media content to promote code compliance initiatives and programs
Planning, writing, and executing social media campaigns that raise awareness about code compliance topics, including property maintenance, zoning, and safety codes.
Designing and posting visuals, videos, and infographics to communicate key messages and enhance public understanding
Assist in crisis communication by addressing negative feedback and providing accurate information during code-related emergencies or incidents
Track and analyze social media metrics to measure engagement, reach, and campaigns effectiveness
Ensure all social media communications align with the City of Fort Worth’s branding and communication standards
Collaboration effectively with other departments, city employees and stakeholders to achieve communication goals
Providing creative problem-solving ideas to overcome content challenges or audience engagement issues

Requirements

Associate’s degree, with emphasis in communications or related fields
One (2) years of technical video or photography experience
One (1) year of video editing experience

Preferred

Proficiency with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro), and video editing tools for creating graphics and multimedia content
Experience using social media analytics tools (Meta Business Suite, Twitter Analytics) to track campaign performance and generate metrics reports
Experience working with animals or a demonstrated passion for animal welfare and community-based animal services
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in marketing communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field
