Job Summary

Own and execute the company’s PR and communications strategy across five platforms, shaping messaging for students, partners and education professionals; manage content calendars, press relations, analytics, and events, while coordinating with the Director on strategy.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Meet regularly with the Director to discuss business strategy, services and target audiences, and turn these into a written PR and communications plan, reviewed each quarter.
  • Plan messaging for each of our audiences: students and parents, partner universities, schools and sixth form colleges, and education agents.
  • Own the content and PR calendar across all five platforms, timed around university intakes, partner announcements and events.
  • Write, edit and distribute press releases to local, national and international media on new university partnerships, service launches and company milestones.
  • Produce a quarterly newsletter for partner universities, schools and education agents.
  • Write social media copy for each platform and brief our multimedia designer on the visuals and video each piece needs.
  • Develop student success stories, with each student's written consent.
  • Represent the company in meetings and presentations with partner universities, schools, colleges and agents.
  • Plan and lead our presence at education fairs, school and college outreach events and partner events.
  • Handle media enquiries and build relationships with education journalists and local media.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Media, English, Business or a related subject
  • Strong written and spoken English (CEFR B2 or above)
  • A portfolio or examples of your work. University projects, internships, freelance and personal work are all welcome.
  • The ability to plan your own workload, write for different audiences and present confidently

Preferred

  • PR, communications or social media experience, paid or voluntary
  • Arabic, Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi, German or Spanish
  • An interest in international education
  • Experience with Canva, Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics or scheduling tools
