Job Summary

You will own the oversight and continuous optimization of a small portfolio of websites, ensuring high-quality content, CMS administration, and SEO-driven improvements across user journeys in collaboration with Brand, Marketing, and Content teams.

  • Own in-house WordPress CMS and content QA
  • Lead content audits, SEO improvements, and performance reporting
  • Coordinate cross-team initiatives to align brand voice and web UX

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the oversight of the content and structure of our small portfolio of websites, including our ecommerce microsite
  • Work with the Website manager to continually assess and optimise the structure of the website and subsequent user journeys based on analytics and insights
  • Work with colleagues from across the organisation to produce and oversee the production of high-quality written digital content.
  • Conduct content audits to produce reports that identity gaps and redundancies and plans for continual development of web content based on these reports
  • Develop and oversee quality assurance processes including approval of new and edited content
  • Work closely with the brand and copywriting colleagues to ensure our verbal brand is applied to all written content and is optimised for web
  • Be the in-house CMS (Wordpress) expert
  • Optimise content to improve search engine rankings and build website authority and trust
  • Work with the Marketing Insights Manager to provide regular reporting against SEO and website performance, tracking improvement and feeding into our test and learn strategy
  • Maintaining the website, ensuring all information is current and links are working

Requirements

  • Experience of working in a similar web content/optimisation role
  • Experience of assessing analytics and insights and using them to optimise the content and structure of websites
  • Experience of producing reports for peers and senior stakeholders
  • Experience of working collaboratively across the organisation with stakeholders of all levels
  • Experience writing copy for web and optimising SEO
  • Experience of coordinating projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience using a Content Management System—such as Wordpress – and working with CMS and SEO optimisation tools eg SEMrush and Google Search Console
  • Experience of working with content heavy/rich websites (ie not ecommerce)
  • Experience of delivering training to colleagues
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Strong understanding of SEO and how to implement practical changes and improvements on page
