Job Summary
Own media relations and storytelling to reach a mass audience, lead celebrity outreach, and land clear messages that raise awareness of lung conditions.
- Media relations and mass audience reach: coordinate press activity, pitches, and statements to maximize exposure.
- Celebrity outreach and patient storytelling: drive high-impact storytelling with people living with lung conditions to build emotional connections.
- Stakeholder management and plan execution: draft materials and implement communications plans that move the needle.
Job Description
Responsibilities
- planning and delivering media activity to support the charity to reach a mass audience
- helping to land our messages, promote our services, and enhance our visibility
- lead the charity’s celebrity outreach work
- work with people living with lung conditions to tell their story and support the charity to build emotional connections with its audiences
- use excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to raise awareness of the seriousness of lung conditions and stamp out misconceptions
- drafting a range of media materials, such as press releases, pitches and statements
- implementing communications plans that drive impact
Requirements
- experience in a busy press office, communications agency or as a journalist
- contacts with national and regional journalists
- experience drafting a range of media materials such as press releases, pitches and statements
- experience implementing communications plans that drive impact
- excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred
- Experience with celebrity outreach (preferred)
