Job Summary

Own end-to-end revenue performance across memberships, shop, publishing range, and venue spaces, while embedding customer insight and research to sharpen targets and pricing.

  • Growth/Revenue Campaigns: Lead revenue-generating campaigns and ensure brand usage aligns with commercial goals.
  • Stakeholder Influence: Forge strong relationships and influence decision-making across all levels.
  • Data-Driven Marketing: Use customer insight and regular research to steer markets, targets, product development and pricing strategies.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate your team.
  • Oversee almost all revenue-generating campaigns, as well as use of the British Library brand in commercial activities.
  • Forge strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders and influence decision-making at all levels.
  • Develop and devise effective marketing strategies to meet ambitious revenue targets for memberships, shop sales, publishing range, and venue spaces.
  • Use customer insight and data as a core driver; regularly commission research and analysis to inform markets, targets, product development and pricing strategies.
  • Find innovative solutions to deliver against objectives.

Requirements

  • Senior commercial marketer experience
  • Strong business acumen
  • Experience managing stakeholders to forge relationships and influence decision-making at all levels
  • Experience leading and motivating a team
  • Comfort with customer insight and data and commissioning research and analysis to inform markets, targets, product development and pricing strategies
  • Criminal record check (DBS) required
  • Location: London (St Pancras)
  • Contract: Fixed Term for 13 months
  • Hours: Full time (36 hours)
