Job Description

Responsibilities

  • As part of our north regional Land & Nature consultancy team, you’ll sit alongside other project teams delivering transformational landscape scale change across the North of England. The role is varied; you could be photographing a community tree planting event, planning press coverage of landscape-scale projects, or dealing with delicate stakeholder management comms.
  • Alongside sharing the nature restoration story of the HoD project, you’ll also shine a light on partnerships, local community connections, our new Tenants of Tarn House, and share our staff and volunteer stories. There will be a requirement for managing press, PR stories and public events working closely with PLT and Participation Team in particular.
  • With your creative flair, you will find the news hook, seek out the photo opportunity, and enable advocacy of the project through sharing nature connection opportunities. Doing this, you’ll secure press coverage and create digital content (web, social media and video) and internal communications coverage about our partnership case studies and habitat restoration work, to reach a wider audience through their channels.
  • You’ll help bring the best out of the project team, property and countryside team, sharing their aims and passions and encouraging them to be our spokespeople. There’s never been a more exciting time to inspire our audience about our work to restore habitats, protect nature and heal climate harm.

Requirements

  • Practical experience in a communications and marketing role
  • Experience of developing and delivering communications and marketing plans to achieve objectives.
  • Proven experience creating, editing and publishing content across a range of channels, including web, social media, PR and email communications.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation and guidance, including marketing regulations, data protection, copyright and model release requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Well organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, work to deadlines and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to identify potential reputational risks and escalate concerns appropriately.
