Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Act as an account manager to colleagues across the organisation, identifying their marketing needs, writing and executing marketing plans, evaluating results and reporting back to key stakeholders, as directed by the Marketing Management and Strategy Lead.
  • Work across all aspects of marketing the member lifecycle from building a pipeline of potential members wanting to enter the profession through to acquisition, conversion, annual renewal, and ongoing marketing communications.
  • Write and produce effective communications and marketing copy to promote the work of the IFoA to members, volunteers, staff and external audiences through online and offline delivery channels.
  • Write briefs for the development and production of marketing materials, and online communications that are designed to achieve a defined objective, and are appropriate to key audiences. Work with the Brand and Design Lead and channel managers on the design, production and delivery of materials using both in-house expertise and agency resource.
  • Work with the to ensure that marketing campaigns make the best use of the available data and insights we have on our members and commission further market research as required.
  • Work with Communications Lead and Digital Marketing Lead to deploy campaigns effectively across the IFoA’s channels.
  • Work with channel managers to evaluate campaigns using metrics and use this data to drive continual improvement of our marketing campaigns.

Requirements

  • Experience of working across B2B-B2C integrated campaigns to drive take up of a product, qualification or brand position
  • Experience of market research techniques, benchmarking and trend monitoring, and of using these to inform development of a marketing plan.
  • Experience of delivering strategic impact through integrated marketing campaigns, with experienced of KPIs being directly aligned to organisational strategy
  • Experience and understanding of working across multiple channels including events, email, social media, web, print, media placement and more.
  • Experience of setting up measurement approaches, analyse data, report success, and use results to inform planning and reforecasting.
  • Experience of influencing and persuading stakeholders to adopt new processes and approaches, and co-author successful plans.
  • Able to evidence use of best practice, and implement new ways of working.
  • Applicants for this role must have the right to work in the UK.

Preferred

  • Experience of working in an international marketing environment
  • Understanding of the education and qualification context a major plus
  • Understanding of, or affinity with the actuarial profession
