Job Description

Responsibilities

  • The Marketing Manager will take ownership of the marketing strategy and delivery across an assigned portfolio of live events, working with the Senior Marketing Manager to ensure activity supports audience, brand and commercial objectives.
  • This is a hands-on role with responsibility for planning, delivering and optimising integrated marketing campaigns, balancing strategic oversight with effective campaign execution.
  • The role will work closely with Commercial teams to support delegate acquisition, sponsorship and partnership opportunities, ensuring marketing activity contributes to agreed commercial objectives.
  • The Marketing Manager will provide guidance and support to Marketing Executives and Senior Marketing Executives, helping to develop capability and maintain high standards of marketing delivery.
  • As with all event-focused roles, occasional evening attendance will be required to support the delivery of live events.
  • Develop and deliver integrated marketing strategies across an assigned portfolio of conferences, awards and forums, aligned to audience, brand and commercial objectives.
  • Plan and manage multi-channel marketing campaigns across email, social media, websites, digital advertising, partnerships and other relevant channels.
  • Work with the Senior Marketing Manager to establish campaign objectives, priorities and plans for the assigned events portfolio.
  • Take ownership of campaign performance, using audience data, reporting and insight to identify opportunities for optimisation and growth.
  • Work closely with Commercial teams to support delegate acquisition, sponsorship and partnership opportunities, ensuring marketing activity aligns with revenue objectives.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of marketing principles and integrated campaign delivery.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, including email, social media and digital advertising.
  • Good understanding of audience segmentation, customer data and campaign performance analysis.
  • Understanding of event marketing and the B2B media, publishing or events environment.
  • Good understanding of content management systems, websites and digital marketing platforms.
  • Understanding of GDPR and responsible use of customer marketing data.
  • Commercial awareness and an understanding of how marketing activity contributes to audience and revenue objectives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong copywriting and editing ability.
  • Strong campaign and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to develop marketing strategies and translate them into effective campaign plans.
