Job Description

Responsibilities

  • design and deliver high quality, student-centred teaching and learning that reflects our focus on career development for emerging writers of commercial genres
  • take responsibility for developing our existing teaching and research specialisms to further enhance the student experience and the University’s reputation from a global perspective
  • primarily focused on teaching postgraduate Creative Writing students and collaborate with a number of stakeholders, utilising your ability for cross-disciplinary working and general commitment to collaboration across the University and beyond

Requirements

  • Postgraduate or Undergraduate degree, demonstrable subject expertise in the area along with relevant practice experience in the field
  • A professional publication record of recent, relevant commercialgenre fiction
  • Relevant teaching experience and evidence of a professional academic profile alongside a commitment to sustained continuous professional development
  • A scholarly interest in developing innovative narrative practice
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • A Masters-level or higher qualification in a relevant discipline
