Job Description
Responsibilities
- Channel Management: Oversee day-to-day content for Facebook, X, Instagram, Threads, email marketing, and website updates.
- Strategy & Insights: Review current engagement and develop a 12-month rolling content calendar aligned with major events (e.g., Oxonmoot, Westmoot, Sarehole Festival and Tolkien Reading Day).
- Analytics: Establish and maintain performance metrics for all channels to report success and recommendations to the CEO.
- Brand Implementation: Support the rollout of our new visual identity consistently across all member touchpoints.
- Paid Media: Manage paid social activity including Google AdWords and Meta to boost membership and public event awareness.
- Volunteer Collaboration: Build positive relationships with key volunteers, including our internal Designer and Discord moderators.
Requirements
- Self-starter who can hit the ground running.
- Marketing pedigree and communication skills are what matter most.
- Experience in marketing and communications.
Preferred
- Deep expertise in Tolkien’s lore is a wonderful bonus.
