We are designed to help our clients thrive, with the capabilities, the experience and the understanding needed to help our clients unlock growth in a platform world. Through our Power of One approach, we bring together the right expertise from across our agencies to deliver joined up, end to end solutions.

Overview
We are hiring a Finance Operations Executive to join the APX team and play an important role in supporting the delivery of Traditional Media and Digital campaigns. Sitting at the centre of Finance, Operations and Digital Strategy, you'll help ensure campaigns are accurately set up, billed, reconciled and closed while maintaining strong financial controls throughout. This is a fantastic opportunity to build your knowledge of media finance operations, work closely with a wide range of stakeholders and make a tangible contribution to the success of the APX team.
Responsibilities
- Support the financial set-up and administration of Traditional Media and Digital campaigns in partnership with APX Operations and APX Digital Strategy.
- Create and maintain campaign records, products, suppliers, clients and other master data, ensuring information is accurate and aligned with agreed controls.
- Review campaign information across systems and trackers, resolving inconsistencies before billing and payment activities progress.
- Raise purchase orders and coordinate billing instructions to ensure deadlines are met and financial processes run smoothly.
- Manage invoice processing activities and help resolve supplier, billing and payment queries with clear communication and ownership.
- Reconcile purchase orders, invoices, billings and costs, identifying and correcting discrepancies while maintaining accurate records.
- Maintain campaign trackers, support month-end activities and contribute to a strong audit trail through effective documentation and controls.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accuracy.
- Good Excel skills, including using formulas, lookups, filters and reconciliation techniques.
- Confidence working with data and identifying inconsistencies or areas that need investigation.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to build effective working relationships across different teams.
- Clear communication skills with a proactive and solution-focused mindset.
- An interest in finance operations, commercial processes and the media industry.
- Experience with systems such as SAP, Media Explorer, purchase orders or billing processes would be beneficial, though full training will be provided.
The salary for the role is £28,860.
The Application Process
- Once you've submitted your application, you will be emailed a link and asked to complete an online assessment task. This email will come from our partner Arctic Shores. You will need to complete the assessment within 3 days of submitting your application.
- If successful at the application and online assessment task stage, you will then have a screening call with a recruiter from the Publicis team.
- The final stage will be an in- person interview
As part of our selection process, we use an Arctic Shores game-based assessment to help us understand your natural strengths in a fair, engaging way. This isn’t a quiz about what you know, it’s about showing how you think, behave and solve problems in real time.
What it is
- A series of interactive tasks (games) designed to measure problem-solving, decision-making, adaptability, focus and other work-relevant behaviours.
- You won’t see typical questions, instead, you’ll play activities that look and feel like simple games.
- You’ll receive an email with a link and simple instructions.
- Before the official assessment you can try a practice task so you’re confident with the format.
- The assessment usually has around 7-9 tasks and should take about the same time as a standard online test.
- Choose a quiet, distraction-free space with a reliable device.
- Read the instructions carefully before starting each activity.
- Be yourself - Arctic Shores is designed to capture how you naturally approach challenges, not what you think is the “right” answer.
- Candidates receive a personalised feedback report that explains what your responses suggest about your strengths - valuable insight whether you join us or not.
Benefits

Full details are shared when you join, but highlights include core benefits such as Pension, Life Assurance, and Private Medical cover, alongside enhanced policies like Reflection Days and Shared Parental Leave.
