Job Summary

Engage audiences and amplify the charity’s impact by producing compelling content, coordinating press and influencer outreach, maintaining website content, and coupling data-driven adjustments with cross-department collaboration to keep external channels aligned and up to date.

  • Content & channels: create visuals and copy for social platforms and newsletters, working with the Marketing Lead.
  • Publicity & assets: draft press materials, capture media-ready media, and support case studies and proposals.
  • Social & website governance: engage influencers, monitor current events, update the site, and ensure real-time internal/external alignment.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Digital Communications and Marketing Lead to produce engaging digital content (both visual and written) that promotes the charity’s on-the-ground delivery across all major platforms: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and any other accounts deemed necessary, as well as in our monthly newsletter.
  • Assist with generating media coverage through writing and preparing press releases.
  • Identify key influencers and audiences who are interested in the work of the Renewal Programme and actively engage with them across social media channels.
  • Maintain, update and improve the organisation’s website as instructed by the Comms and Marketing lead.
  • Keep abreast of relevant current affairs in order to be able to write engaging and up to date content, responding to societal events and developments.
  • Analyse data to improve marketing performance in line with communications strategy, as instructed.
  • Liaise with a range of colleagues across all departments to ensure that internal communications are smooth and efficient, and that external channels reflect developments and activities in real time.
  • Assist colleagues across departments with comms related queries and tasks such as capturing photos and videos of projects and events. Support the collection of information and content for case studies and project proposals, and other marketing purposes.
  • Assist with event organisation tasks, such as conducting venue and other event research, and assisting with the set-up of equipment, materials and stands.
  • Assist with other existing and ongoing communications, fundraising and partnership efforts as required.
