Job Description
Responsibilities
- Social Media Management & Curation: Channel Management: Manage, schedule and curate content across all active social platforms.
- Brand Compliance: Utilise and actively enhance our current brand guidelines and asset kit to maintain a professional, cohesive visual identity.
- Content Creation: Produce daily/weekly content (graphics, short-form video snippets, captions) tailored to our alternative education values.
- Community Engagement: Monitor and respond to messages, tags and comments to nurture a safe online community.
- Newsletter Design & Distribution: Internal Comms: Draft and design engaging internal newsletters keeping employees informed and engaged.
- Newsletter Design & Distribution: External Comms: Create externally facing updates, showcase student successes and share organisational milestones with referrers and local authorities.
- Newsletter Design & Distribution: Audience Management: Organise subscriber lists and track newsletter performance (open rates, click-throughs).
- Experiential & Social Campaigns: Campaign Delivery: Plan, run and measure specific social and experiential campaigns to boost visibility, celebrate milestones or raise awareness.
- Experiential & Social Campaigns: Event Integration: Translate on-site events or learning experiences into impactful digital stories.
- Website Management: Content Updates: Implement routine updates, add blog posts, refresh copy and upload new media to our website.
Requirements
- Design Excellence: Extensive, demonstrable experience using Canva (or similar design suites like Adobe Express) to create fast, polished visual assets.
- CMS Familiarity: Hands-on experience navigating Squarespace or equivalent visual web builders (coding not required, experience essential).
- Email Marketing: Experience using email distribution software (e.g. Mailchimp, Squarespace Email Campaigns or Constant Contact).
- Multi-Platform Competency: Comfortable adapting tones for platforms such as Facebook, Instagram or LinkedIn depending on target audiences.
- Education Sensitivity: An understanding of (or keen interest in) the alternative education landscape and how to communicate sensitive or celebratory student milestones appropriately.
- Self-Starter Mentality: Ability to map out 15 hours effectively, prioritise tasks and work independently.
- Idea Generation: Keen and enthusiastic to try new projects, run exciting campaigns and throw new ideas into the room across the scope of the digitally-based role.
- Communication: Exceptional written English with a sharp eye for proofreading and tone of voice.
- Compliance: The successful candidate must undergo an Enhanced DBS check before starting due to the educational environment.
