Role Description The Content Creation/Creative Media Tutor is a part-time, on-site role based in Stevenage. The tutor will plan and deliver engaging lessons and workshops in content creation, creative media, and digital storytelling, using real-world examples and practical projects. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson materials, teaching small groups and individuals, providing constructive feedback on assignments, and supporting learners in developing portfolios for further study or employment. The tutor will guide learners through the use of creative tools and platforms (such as video, social media, and basic web content), promote best practices in digital communication, and foster a safe, inclusive classroom environment. The role also involves maintaining learner records, collaborating with colleagues on curriculum development, and participating in meetings and training as required.

Qualifications

• Strong Communication skills, including the ability to explain concepts clearly, give constructive feedback, and engage learners with diverse backgrounds.
• Proficiency in Web Content Writing and Writing, with the ability to guide learners in creating clear, accurate, and engaging digital content.
• Experience with Content Strategy and Content Management, including planning, organizing, and publishing content across digital platforms.
• Hands-on experience in creative media production (e.g., video creation, social media content, basic design, or audio/podcasting) and familiarity with common creative tools or platforms.
• Prior teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or training experience (formal or informal), ideally within creative media, digital content, or related fields.
• Ability to create inclusive, learner-centered environments and adapt teaching style to different learning needs and abilities.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with reliability in lesson planning, delivery, and assessment.
• Relevant qualification or equivalent experience in Media, Communications, Digital Content, Education, or a related discipline.
