Job Description

Responsibilities

  • In addition to working on internal communications and external media relations, you’ll play a key role in ensuring that students feel heard, supported and informed.
  • The post-holder will support colleagues to use the University’s brand guidelines, clear and compassionate approach to communications, narrative and tone of voice.

Requirements

  • professional experience of shaping clear messages and writing compelling copy for diverse audiences
  • digital skills to deploy communications across multiple platforms
  • the ability to work across external and internal communications by building and maintaining relationships with media contacts, community partners and external stakeholders, as well as with our staff and students.
  • a creative and inclusive approach to coordinating and delivering communications
  • experience of the HE environment is an advantage, but more important is a track record of delivering engaging communications activity and campaigns, with the confidence and ability to provide strategic communications advice to colleagues.
