Job Description

Responsibilities

Communications planning: Develop and execute global communications plans that showcase WFSA and its members.
Member collaboration: Work in close consultation with WFSA member organizations on messaging, soliciting input frequently on key priorities.
Presidential communication: Draft key messages from the president to membership and externally.
Database management: Regularly update the WFSA’s repository tool that tracks changes in legislative policies across 20+ countries, bias, and other variables. Train new and existing members on the tool.
Media monitoring: Monitor media and develop a communications protocol for sharing key news and information.
Content Creation: Social media: Post positive news and research in timely fashion.
Content Creation: Newsletter: Solicit input and update the regular newsletter that provides a summary of relevant news, with context from the president on WFSA position.
Content Creation: Website: Update the website with relevant articles
Content Creation: Briefings: Create digests and fact sheets that track issues and WFSA perspective.
Content Creation: Materials: Create research-informed messaging about key issues.

Requirements

Six or more years of experience in a communications role, with at least two years in a related capacity.
Superior written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to create and execute communication strategies across various platforms.
Experience in social media content planning and fulfillment.
Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Proficiency in usage and transparency search engine optimization and AI
Experience working in social media platforms

Preferred

Fluency in more than one language
