Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and delivery of Forsters’ client-focused communications and content programme, working closely with colleagues across the BD&M team, legal groups and Knowledge.
  • Shaping our external communications strategy, identifying opportunities to showcase the firm’s expertise, developing compelling client-focused content across a range of channels, driving client engagement and enquiries, and helping to strengthen Forsters’ market profile and positioning.
  • Content and communications: Help our legal teams to translate legal expertise and complex issues into high-quality, engaging, market-facing content across a variety of formats.
  • Work closely with legal teams, Business Development colleagues and Knowledge Development Lawyers to identify priority themes, sector developments, client stories and areas of expertise to promote.
  • Monitor legal, commercial and sector developments, as well as competitor activity, to identify and share emerging topics, trends and opportunities for thought leadership.
  • Develop and manage content plans that align with the firm’s strategic priorities and business development objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to showcase the firm’s expertise through thought leadership campaigns, client stories, deal announcements and case studies.
  • Coordinate the creation, editing and distribution of top-quality content across multiple channels (including written, audio and video), ensuring consistency of on-brand messaging and tone of voice.
  • Bring a strong understanding of SEO/GEO/AIO principles to enhance digital content and maximise its reach.
  • Track content and communication trends across the legal sector and other professional services industries, recommending new approaches, formats and channels where appropriate.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of audiences.
  • Strong writing, proofreading and editing abilities, producing high-quality content with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experienced in translating complex information into clear, concise and engaging content.
  • Highly organised with strong planning and prioritisation skills, able to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Commercially minded, with and understanding of business objectives and the ability to align communications accordingly.
  • Skilled at building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels across the business.
  • Confident collaborator, able to influence and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
