Own and shape the charity\'s communications by leading content creation, managing digital channels, and coordinating campaigns and internal updates.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Content & Storytelling: Meet and interview beneficiaries to capture sensitive, high-impact case studies. Produce compelling written, photo, and video content for all channels.
  • Digital Management: Act as the lead for our WordPress website and social media channels (Hootsuite), using data-driven insights from Google Analytics to improve reach.
  • Campaigns & PR: Plan and deliver multi-channel marketing campaigns. Act as the first point of contact for press enquiries and draft engaging press releases.
  • Brand Stewardship: Maintain brand consistency across the Trust, producing in-house designs (Canva/Adobe) and managing external creative agencies.
  • Internal Comms: Manage the SharePoint staff intranet to keep our national team connected and informed.
  • Events & Support: Provide administrative and marketing support for high-profile visits and events, including the production of merchandise.

Requirements

  • Experience: 1–3 years in a similar comms/marketing role (or high-level academic experience in creative industries/journalism).
  • Digital Savvy: Proficient in WordPress, Mailchimp, and social media scheduling tools.
  • Creative Suite: Skilled in Canva or Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop/InDesign) and video editing.
  • Journalistic Flair: Exceptional writing skills with the ability to turn an interview into a powerful narrative.
  • Technical Skills: Comfortable with MS Office 365, CRM databases, and SharePoint.

Preferred

  • Sector Awareness: A passion for the veterans' community or the wider charity sector is highly desirable.
