Job Summary

Own brand strategy and cross‑functional delivery for UK FMCG, turning consumer insight into growth actions across campaigns, NPD, packaging, and retailer planning, while tracking ROMI and guiding agency partners.

  • Lead brand strategy and long-term roadmap with cross-functional alignment.
  • Turn shopper and market insights into actionable brand actions, packaging, and retailer plans.
  • Oversee campaigns, agency partnerships, and ROMI measurement to optimize spend.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute annual and long-term brand strategies aligned to business objectives
  • Use consumer, shopper and market insight to identify opportunities for brand and category growth
  • Support branded NPD and EPD projects in collaboration with Innovation and Category teams
  • Conduct feasibility analysis, forecasting, business case development and post-launch reviews
  • Support integrated marketing campaigns across digital, social, PR, shopper and trade channels
  • Manage relationships with digital, PR and research agencies to deliver campaigns on time and within budget
  • Lead packaging development and artwork approval processes
  • Analyse retailer, category and competitor performance to support strategic decision-making
  • Support retailer presentations, range reviews and joint business planning activity
  • Monitor digital, campaign and social media performance to optimise effectiveness

Requirements

  • Experience in a Brand Manager or Assistant Brand Manager role within FMCG, ideally food
  • Strong understanding of the UK grocery retail landscape and shopper behaviour
  • Experience working with external creative, media or research agencies
  • Comfortable using market and consumer insight tools such as Nielsen, Kantar, IRI or Mintel
  • Strong commercial awareness with confidence interpreting sales and market performance data
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate insight into clear brand actions
  • Creative and innovative approach to campaign and brand development
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Collaborative approach with strong cross-functional relationship-building capability
