Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Administration & Engagement Assistant to join the Circus Starr team on a one-year fixed-term maternity cover contract.

Circus Starr is a Charity with a difference! Our organisation tours around the UK with an accessible and inclusive indoor circus show to benefit children who are vulnerable and disadvantaged. We are currently looking to fill the exciting role of an Administration & Engagement Assistant.
Administration & Engagement Assistant – The Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who cares about making the arts available to those who may usually miss out.
The position is varied with general working hours at our head office based in Congleton, and occasional out of ours work (evenings and weekends) when attending our shows.
Communications & Engagement Assistant – Key Responsibilities:
- Individual families ticket allocations
- Research and build relationships with organisations
- Working with families and business supporters
- Assisting in planning and organising additional show projects
- Monitoring and creating Social Media content
- Ordering printed marketing materials
- Supporting the Communication & Engagement Manager
- General office administration
- Communicate with families attending our performances and gather feedback
- Engage with families and support them with any queries they may have
Communications & Administration Assistant
Desirable:
- Experience in administration/social media
- A passion for the arts industry
- An interest in accessibility and inclusivity
Essential:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Good communication skills
- A positive attitude
- A full UK driving licence
Hours:
Monday 9am - 5pm
Tuesday 9am - 5pm
Thursday 9am - 5pm
Friday 9am - 3pm *Early Finish Fridays!*
Pay: £12.85-£13.50 per hour

The Circus Starr show tours nationwide three times a year in 75 venues and boasts world-class, professional artists from across the globe. Circus Starr operates a unique Donated Ticket Programme that allows thousands of children to attend relaxed and inclusive shows free of charge thanks to the generous support of local businesses. Through its unique network of partner charities and local businesses, Circus Starr provides over £1.3 million worth of free tickets to children, their families and community groups throughout the UK every year.
