Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute integrated communications campaigns that influence EU policy, keeping an eye on the bigger picture whilst also being across the granular detail.
  • Keep track of KPIs, budgets, timelines and team capacity for all projects.
  • Build and nurture relationships with senior officials at the European Commission, European Parliament permanent representations, and potentially Member States.
  • Develop and pitch compelling media stories both in the Brussels media but also national media. This includes working with our network of PR freelancers in various EU countries.
  • Run insights or strategy projects for partners, including running focus groups/stakeholder interviews, planning polling, summarising insights and turning them into a clear strategy.
  • Oversee and train more junior members of staff.
  • Growing your own accounts and helping pitch for new projects.

Requirements

  • Excellent political instinct and understanding of European current affairs.
  • Direct experience influencing policy (directly or indirectly) or building organisational reputations either at the EU level or in an EU Member State.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to quickly gain the trust of multiple stakeholders on different parts of the political spectrum.
  • A strong track record of landing influential media coverage in big titles and/or securing meetings with policymakers.
  • Experience working on multiple projects at once and managing budgets (agency experience is a big plus)
  • Fluency in English and another EU member state language.
  • A drive to make the world a better place.
