Job Description

Responsibilities

Develop content for social channels, including writing, photo, and video
Create short form content for newsletters and other channels
Communicate with youth-serving organizations around Indianapolis and Marion County
Assist with website updates through content management system
Update database of Central Indiana organizations that provide resources to youth, families, and those who serve them
Review, collect, and identify and label marketing assets
Research facts and information for content
Capture photos and videos of events and programs
Work with Director of Marketing and Communications on marketing campaigns and liaising with press
Promote youth programs by distributing materials and engaging families, organizations, and others in conversations/activities around youth-related topics

Requirements

Strong written communication skills
Ability to tailor a message to various audiences through multiple platforms
Ability to converse with diverse groups of adults and children easily
Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
Familiarity crafting content for social media channels
Understanding of website content management systems
Comfort taking photos and videos and preparing them for use in communications platforms
Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs (especially Excel and Sharepoint)
Must have access to transportation for occasional events
