Job Description

Responsibilities

Execute marketing and communications initiatives that support North Star Initiative’s mission, fundraising, initiatives, and events.
Create compelling written, graphic, and video content for digital and print platforms, including social media, email marketing, websites, and publications.
Manage North Star’s digital communication channels, ensuring content is current, engaging, and aligned with brand standards.
Design and produce marketing materials, event collateral, presentations, and other branded assets.
Implement marketing campaigns and communication plans across multiple channels.
Coordinate promotion, content creation, and storytelling for fundraising and community engagement events.
Develop email marketing campaigns and assist with website updates and optimization.
Monitor performance metrics and provide recommendations to improve engagement and effectiveness.
Collaborate with staff, partners, vendors, and volunteers to support organizational marketing and communication needs.
Manage marketing and communications projects from concept through completion, ensuring quality, accuracy, and timely delivery.

Requirements

Education and Experience:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, communications, marketing, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
One to three years of experience in marketing, communications, social media management, graphic design, or a related field.
Experience creating content and managing digital communication channels for an organization or brand.
Experience developing written, graphic, and video content for multiple audiences and platforms.
Required: Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (or comparable design tools). Preferred: Experience with database management.
Experience with email marketing platforms, website content management systems, social media management tools, and marketing analytics.
Ability to interpret performance metrics and apply insights to improve engagement and effectiveness.
