Job Description

Responsibilities

Establishes and champions best practices in strategic event planning and execution and serve as a strategic advisor to firm leaders, attorneys, and business development professionals on event strategy, audience engagement, format, investment, and expected outcomes.
Collaborates with Marketing and Client Development teams’ senior leaders to develop an event strategy that supports revenue-generation goals, including designing events for core firm focus areas and client groups.
Partners with CMO and Director of Client Service to develop signature client experiences that strengthen the firm’s relationships.
Partners with internal teams (marketing, digital, communications, operations, IT) to ensure event collateral, branding, registration platforms and hybrid/virtual event infrastructure are on point
Works with the business development team to define event strategy and ensure the firm maximizes on business development and brand-building opportunities and interactions
Oversees vendor and contractor relationship (venues, caterers, A/V, transportation, hotels, even design, etc) ensuring competitive pricing and service excellence.
Develops and oversees annual events budgets, track expenses, reconcile invoices and collaborate with Finance
Maintains an event calendar and integrate with broader BD/marketing calendar; ensure alignment across offices/regions.
Develops and implements best practices, event process templates, checklists, and vendor/venue databases. Ensure consistent brand and client experience standards across offices and event formats.
Leads, develops, and manages a sophisticated events team, including setting priorities, allocating work, coaching performance, and supporting profressional development.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree
Minimum of ten years of related experience, including a minimum of five years of corporate event management experience, preferably in a law firm
Knowledge of MS suite and internet research and other commonly used business applications to source event locations and destinations
Advanced knowledge of Vuture, ON24, Zoom, EMS, and InterAction/CRM Platforms
Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing with internal and external contacts
Demonstrated project and team management experience
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and maintain a productive and committed work effort, meeting deadlines and managing workload

Preferred

CMP designation preferred.
