Job Description
Responsibilities
- Manage the team's social media accounts- primarily Instagram
- Create and publish content that promotes Westminster Cross Country and Track & Field student-athletes, coaches, competitions, and team accomplishments.
- Design graphics, reels, highlight videos, and other digital content.
- Provide live event coverage during competitions when appropriate.
- Monitor social media engagement and respond to messages and comments as directed.
- Assist with recruiting-focused content that showcases the Westminster student-athlete experience.
- Coordinate with coaching staff to ensure content aligns with program goals and university branding standards.
- Maintain a positive and professional online presence that reflects Westminster University's mission and values.
- Assist with special projects, marketing initiatives, and other duties as assigned by the coaching staff.
Requirements
- Must be a currently enrolled Westminster University student in good academic standing.
- Strong knowledge of major social media platforms and content creation tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Availability to attend select practices, competitions, and team events, including occasional evenings and weekends.
Preferred
- Experience managing social media accounts for organizations, teams, or businesses.
- Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or similar graphic design and video editing software.
- Photography and videography experience.
- Interest in collegiate athletics, cross country, and track & field.
