Responsibilities

Write, edit and proofread content for blogs, social media, campaigns, websites and external communications
Apply SEO/AEO/GEO best practices to published content and website
Assist in drafting media outreach materials and communications assets as needed
Support social media through content creation and channel monitoring
Maintain consistency with brand guidelines across written and visual materials
Translate written content into clear, visually effective multimedia assets
Build and format PowerPoint presentations and collateral for internal and external use
Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Pursuing Associate’s, Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Digital Media or a related field preferred
Strong writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail
Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word with the ability to create polished and engaging presentations and documents
A creative and innovative mindset paired with strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Light visual storytelling and layout design skills; experience with image editing or creative design tools is considered an asset
Interest in public safety technology and emerging tools including AI and drones
Based in the Lexington/Columbia, SC area preferred
Note: Due to the nature of our work with public safety agencies, this position requires compliance with the FBI's Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy. Candidates must successfully pass a comprehensive, fingerprint-based background check. Please note that specific customer contracts may impose additional security verification requirements.
